ACES Outreach - Advocacy, Counseling and Entitlement Services - Assistance with Medicare, Disability and other entitlements.
Equipment Loans - Rental of commodes, tub chairs, wheelchairs, diapers, bed pans, nutritional supplements, etc to any senior in need on Staten Island. Loans are made possible thanks to a grant from Richmond County Savings Bank Foundation.
Friendly Calls and Visits - Foundation representatives call and/or visit Alzheimer's caregivers to offer assistance and support.
Lending Library - Videos, Catalogs and Books are available to assist those who want to learn more about this disease.
Referral - Includes information on Island agencies, options for Islanders together with our 175+ page book containing avenues of assistance available on Staten Island.
Safe Return - A bracelet/necklace identification system to track wondering patients.
Seminars - Held throughout the year in a number of locations to educate caregivers on the disease and caregiving.
Alzheimer's Awareness Television - Programs shown every Tuesday night at 8PM on Channel 34 (CTV). Topics of shows include caregiver assistance of Alzheimer's patients.
Smoke Detector Installation - Distributed and installed free of charge to any senior living on Staten Island.
Support Groups - Caregiver support groups held at different times and locations on Staten Island throughout the week. Services include early diagnosis and spousal support.
